Scalp Biome by LABIO

We would like to introduce you to our new product: Scalp Biome, which rebalances the microbiome of the scalp. The product has been shown to improve scalp elasticity, exfoliation, anti-oxidation, and reduce redness, dandruff, and itching.

The third layer of our skin is comprised of a micro-barrier that protects the skin, wherein the skin condition changes as the microbiome changes, and where fungus protects the skin from external irritation. It is crucial to maintain a healthy microbiome on the skin.

The microbiome on the scalp is also affected by external factors (hair dyes, perms, UV radiation, humidity, seasonal changes, environment) and internal factors (hormones, disease, diet, heredity, age, race). So, our scalp is more susceptible to harm than other parts of our skin.

Rebalancing the Microbiome on Scalp

Common bacteria and fungus on the scalp include Staphylococcus sp. (causes scalp inflammation), Malassezia sp. (causes dandruff, hair loss, and seborrheic dermatitis), and Cutibacterium acnes (causes suppurative acne on scalp when out of balance).

Scalp Biome inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria (Staphylococcus sp., Cutibacterium acnes) and fungus (Malassezia). At the same time, it introduces beneficial bacteria (Lactiplantibacillus plantarum, Limosilactobacillus reuteri, Lactococcus lactis, Saccharomyces cerevisiae) and fungus (Saccharomyces) to the scalp.

It also contains metabolites, including biomolecules, amino acids, vitamins, and biotin analogue (Vitamin B7).

INCI: Lactobacillus ferment, Lactococcus ferment, Saccharomyces ferment, 1,2-Hexanediol

Clinical trials with 20 female participants have shown that after 4 weeks of daily application to the scalp, the amount of lactic acid bacteria (beneficial to the scalp) was increased 11 times.

Participants saw a 25.74% improvement in scalp elasticity. Redness in scalp was reduced by 37.62%, dandruff was reduced by 17.63%, and itching was reduced by 47.5%.

100% of participants saw less dryness of scalp, 95% saw reduced hair loss, and 100% of participants recommend Scalp Biome to others.
